OSD AL is an alkaline based, liquid dispersant chemical that has been developed in conjunction with Port Authorities and Oil Spill Response companies in Europe, to treat oil spills, on and off-shore.

  • OSD AL is non-toxic and is designed as a dispersant to treat low viscosity oil spills up to light grade crude oil.
  • It is also effective on-shore in treating oil spills on highways and is carried and applied by many European emergency response vehicles during accidents and spills.

  • OSD AL has a unique chemical formulation consisting of selected dispersion ingredients and surfactants
  • The chemical product has been independently tested to record better than 98% biodegradability.

OSD AL is able to be diluted with both fresh water and sea water.

It can be used undiluted or with a dilution of 1 part concentrate to 3 parts water, depending on the viscosity of the oil.

For dispersant applications in open sea, specialised spraying equipment and agitation by wave movement or mechanical means is required.

For cleaning applications, including vessel hulls and sea walls, apply OSD AL to the contaminated area and allow the chemical to be absorbed.

Clean off with high pressure, fresh or salt water.

The application of heat to this final pressure rinsing will assist cleaning speed, performance and reduce chemical use.

It is recommended that the surfaces to be cleaned or treated should initially be tested with a small amount of the selected chemical in a non-critical area, to determine if any adverse reaction takes place.

Refer appropriate MSDS before handling and use.
