OVERVIEW:

An emulsion is a mixture of two or more substances that cannot blend. A de-emulsifier is a substance that can cause emulsified substances to separate.

WVT Industries has developed a range of de-emulsifier products for industrial applications.

Demulsifier Extra Split is an organic liquid formulation of surfactants and dispersants for the

de-emulsification of water in oil and oil in water. The product has to be applied at a temperature between 80-90°C. Demulsifier Extra Split destabilizes the oil-water interface that surrounds each water particle in the emulsion, replaces the emulsifier molecules (if any), and allows the water to coalesce.

Demulsifier Extra Split is a completely combustible, non-abrasive, non-ash-forming treatment which will improve the quality of the fuel it is added to.

Demulsifier Extra Split will optimize the caloric value of the oil.

The advantage of our additive, instead of the centrifuge APPLICATION INFORMATION, is that we can reduce the treatment time so one can treat bigger volumes at the same time period.

 

DOSAGE:

Because of the diverse nature of oil and waste amenable to treatment with

Demulsifier Extra Split, specific recommendations have to be made on a case-by-case basis and first on a laboratory scale with a sample. The dosage of Demulsifier Extra Split prescribed to break a particular emulsion varies between 1500 and 4000 ppm ( 3000 ppm as average ) of product Demulsifier Extra Split to the total amount of oil - water emulsion. If higher dosages fail, reduce dosage, since low dosages of 3000 ppm usually work best for this product.

Important: warm up the solution between 80-90°Celcius before adding De-Emulsifier Extra Split .

 

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Once you have determined the correct dose of Demulsifier Extra Split, fill the tank with the waste-oil-water solution and inject the correct dose of Demulsifier Extra Split, directly from the drum or IBC Mix thoroughly, with the assistance of a pump, min 1 time the total quantity of oil-water emulsion. Injection from Demulsifier Extra Split before the pump. Mixing time varies depending on the size of the tank and the speed of the motor. Allow the fuel to settle and check for water separation. Depending on the configuration of the tank, either remove the water by means of a drain in the bottom or suck the clean oil off from the top of the tank.
